OK....so I was just dreaming about supercharging the Ex so I deceided to check out eBay....my wife would kill me if I spent $1K+ on the Ex right now, so hopefully one of you out there might pick up this supercharger and let us drool over your Ex... Ford Excursion F250 V10 6 8 Whipple 2 3 Supercharger | eBay
I've been watching this one, since it is identical to what is on top of my 2000 XLT Ex. The problem is that there is nothing else with it, and there are a lot of additional parts listed in the manual I got from Whipple for my S/C. I thought it would be neat to have a spare, but at that price, I'll just park the Ex if I have to, and send the existing S/C to Whipple for a complete rebuild if I need to.
I've S/C'd three different cars. Miata, Challenger and Marauder. The kit for the Marauder came from Trilogy. Best kit design and install directions by far. Jerry Barnes (Trilogy Owner) is top drawer. Regular joe who digs cars and really understands taking care of the customer.
I don't think having a manual transmission is a problem at all. It would be more complex trying to do a S/C on a manual trans ECM in an automatic application than vice versa.
Anyway... check out Jerry and see. I know he has the 150 kit and I've seen it on a 4WHD F150. Thing hauled azz!
I have read some of there info on the I net, and I have watched some of their videos on You Tube. very impressive!
If I get around to doing my F350, I will have to check with Trilogy!
As for having 4wd with a Supercharger, it is highly helpful in the launch!! Even when Icy, and studded up on the tires, it will launch like crazy when you stomp the go pedal!
i'm on the hillside but work in mid town. i have friends out in wasilla so palmer is just a puddle jump over. if you needed i'm sure we could work something out i could pick some up for you before you come back for the excursion? that way you could just bring it with you on the ferry. let me know i'd be glad to help.
lake otis is hillside now? well heck im hillside too then!

Kevin, you gotta remember, my post (the one you quoted) was a response to Garry's post about transplanting a Lightning engine into his F350, while keeping his manual trans.
I know you can supercharge the setup he already has. My post, if I read your post correctly, shouldn't be taken as a statement that a SC can't be used on his ZF-6 F350.

i'm on huffman, not lakeotis. and yes from abbot over to dearmon lakeotis and up is considered lower hillside. my grandparents are at the top of o'mally all but 5 miles from my driveway.

Just to make sure we're on the same page.

AzSuperDuty, Stewart,
I need your help, today the Ex sputtered, hesitated, and died. At the same time I smelled burning Electrical...
Long story short, my " boost-a-pump" module mounted on the frame rail is oozing black nastiness, and smells really bad. Where can I find a replacement? My ex is dead till I find a replacement...
Good news is while crawling around under the Ex, I read the ford tag on the front axle that read "4.30"!
Hopefully the fuel pump is not bad too...

Damn, I thought Boost-A-Pump was strictly a Kenne Bell thing. I didn't realize Whipple employed the use of a boost pump too.
Even though it's a V10, I'd check to see if Whipple still sells one for the 5.4L setup that would also work for your application.
your between Omalley and Huffman & lake otis and Elmore.
right in the center closest to lake otis tho.
if you look on ktuu's weather map, its considered lower hillside. there is lower, mid and upper. get it like low, middle and high the zoo would be mid hillside.
