Its definately the track bar bracket on the frame. We found it when we moved the steering wheel. Even with a new bushing its walking all over the place in the bracket...

I meant tractor supply grade washers, not ace hardware stuff. lol

You can probably order a new one from a lift kit supply company, they do sell a trac bar drop bracket when you lift a truck??

Or overlay it with some 3/16ths steel plates on the inner and outer sides.

You mentioned earlier that he put polyurethane bushings in .... mine in my '77 wa a 14 piece kit that included new poly bushings for the track bar and that was 1986, and 26 years later that's still tight.

That bracket is pretty thick. I'ld make sure the frame is not cracked, that the bracket isn't flexing due to cracking either
.

As to the suggestion of a pair of washers just jack truck up to take weight off, remove bolts holding bracket top frame and track bar bolts. Look close at the bolt and holes, if worn it's a simple fix now. You can alternatively use some steel plate like mentioned above.

You get two heavy gage grade 8 washers same diameter as fit the bolt diameter and then weld to the out side of the bracket on each side establishing new holes. Then you can even build up hole to match washer inside and drill and grind excess. Use a longer Grade 8 or better bolt to attach track bar to bracket. It'll stay until the cows come home!

What wobbles that hole out is loose bolts and/or driving with worn out bushings wich leads to hammering.
