How would one remove the windshield wiper arms on a 63? Mine need adjusted (go past the bottom of the windshield before going back up) and i have new gaskets for where the shafts go through the cowl so i need to figure out how those go in too.
There is a small tang on the wiper arm where it mounts use something to push up and out it will pop the arm off the shaft.
There is a spanner nut and bezel holding the arm to the outside of the truck. The gasket resides under the bezel and cowl. Made of leather.
The spanner nut has two slots opposite of each other. you can buy or make a tool to remove them. Or you can carefully remove them with a screwdriver and hammer.
New nuts bezels and gaskets are made by Carolina Classics. Sold by all.
