i wish i kept the numbers, i did the whole interior last year. made a very nice difference! much whiter/brighter light. i'll see if i can find the bulbs on my ebay bought items.
Here's a breakdown of what I used, I'm very pleased with how they light up the truck and have not had any problems with them. After trying different bulb types in the drivers dome I've found that these worked best, for me anyway. I have since replaced the round ones you see in the second picture with these.
When using that type you will either need to remove the factory bulb from the original base and reuse the base or get two new ones from NAPA part # PC579 (the bulbs just pull out, I used the NAPA base. I think they were around 4 bucks). I also used this type of bulb in the glove box as I found the 194 type did not put out enough light.
In the running board, license plate and front doors I used the 194 bulbs. The same kind that AE posted.
For the second and third row and cargo area I used 39mm festoons. Total of six.
The reverse lights are 3157's. Here's a pic of Toreador_Diesel's truck when we were swapping out the bulbs.
3rd brake light takes 3 red 194 like the kind above. If you are planning on swapping out your turn signals with LED's you will need to replace your blinker relay with one that is compatible with LED's which is a PIA but doable. (Thanks Dosecobanya for your help with that). Blinkers are all 3157 bulbs.
I think that's it, if I missed something let me know and I'll try to address it.
Thanks, TXTinkt, (your name just doesn't look right without the dinosaur next to it)
I got your PM. I will get a set from you in two weeks when I get my annual paycheck. (yes, once a year) You can see why I am looking at goodies around this time every year.
I also want to do that door and underhood mod. Looks sweet. I had planned to add led's under the hood, but I had not investigated which ones to use.
I really like the ones under the door. That is worth investigating to do for sure. front and rear doors.
Has anyone noticed that the lighting is really lousy in the back with the rear hatch open? The rear hatch is a really prime place for lighting the ground an the interior cargo area.
One thing I really missed from when I had a Lincoln Town car years ago was the lights under the dash. They Illuminated the driver and passenger floor really nice. I will be adding that this winter too.
