My 11 5.0 has been knocking for nearly 57K miles. If it's truly an issue, our friends at Ford will eventually find the solution and fix it. Granted they will fix the issue to new production vehicles long before they offer a fix or TSB for us. But that's the standard practice in this game.
Personally, I'm ignoring this noise along with a few other quirks my 11 has. I just wish it didn't have as many random electrical quirks as it does.

WOW! I haven't seen you around for a while. I figured you went and got your superduty. You seemed a little miffed that you can't push snow with your rig.
My 2011 xlt 150 with the 5.0 used oil from day one, 3 to 4 quarts between oil changes. After about 25k miles it was down to a quart. I had it changed by the dealer every 5k miles. Then it started to knock down low on first startup of the day. Would go away in about 10 to 15 seconds. That pickup is history got a new 12 xlt with ecoboost just love it.
