Need a Flywheel !

I am having trouble finding a flywheel for a friend of mine. He needs one for his 1968 f100, 390 3 speed. I am sure most any FE flywheel will fit except for a 428 flywheel, which is externally balanced. If anyone has any leads on one, please post here or message me. Thanks!

For some reason the 390 is listed as a different flywheel than the 360, but no info as to why. You can get a new 360 flywheel for under $150 at your local auto parts store.

He said he tried Advance, AutoZone, and Napa and none of them had one so he wanted me to try and find one for him. Yes.....a 360 flywheel should work.

EDIT: I just checked online at autozone and I dont see one.

Sachs NFW1146 - Flywheel | O'Reilly Auto Parts
Part number NFW1146 on Rock Auto is $115 as well, but double check and make sure everything else will work. Starter, clutch, throwout, etc.

Lmc has one, part number 43-7800 list for $149.94 fits 68-72 390 motors

Well, I found one at JEGS for $90.
JEGS Performance Products 601370 JEGS Flywheels
He is gonna call tomorrow for more info. If by chance there is a problem I will pass on any and all information in this thread to him. Thanks guys!

I believe that the clutch and pressure plate for the 390 is larger than the clutch and pressure plate for the 360. The bolt holes for the pressure plate won't line up if you use a 390 pressure plate with a 360 flywheel. You should be able to use a 360 clutch, pressure plate and flywheel behind a 390 but it might not be as strong.

Is the flywheel warped, or only its ring gear teeth chipped? The ring gear can be replaced by itself.

Actually, its both warped and has teeth missing when he pulled it so he is trying to find a new one. He is suppossed to call JEGS today and find out if the one they sell will work. When I find out from him I will post back with the part number and all "IF" the one they have works.
