Nevermind, I took it apart, and it was kind of a pink, and It seemed to be in fine condition, I spun it with my drill and worked great, although I had to spin the drill counter-clockwise to get it to spin, is this right?

Three places to focus on. The gear that's in the transmission or transfer case, the gear that's on the end of the speedometer cable, and the gears inside of the instrument cluster.
If you pull the cable and gear out, you should be able to look in and see the gear inside the transfer case or transmission that drives the cable. This is the drive gear. The gear on the end of the cable is the driven gear. Then you've got the speedometer gears in the cluster.
If the gear on the cable and in the hole looks good, then you might want to check out the gears in the instrument cluster.
The drive gear rarely goes bad, and changing it isn't easy. You should be able to see it through the hole the driven gear goes through.
Did the speedo work originally and quit? Or, was it not working when you bought the truck? If the latter, you may have the wrong speedo gear, as in one for another typ of transmission. Are there any numbers on it?
I know one guy that tried a speedo gear out of a 4-speed manual tranny in his C6. It chewed the gear up as it was too long. So, it would stand to reason that the wrong gear could be too short and not even engage the drive gear.
But I couldn't find my original tire listed in the master parts catalog, all the listings were for 16.5 not 16's
These are for the 4.10 out of the parts catalog
Still Running 235/85/R16's
Heres my sticker
So I got the original tires, I got a 4.10 rear ratio, and a T-19 4-speed warner transmission. Should be pretty easy, but we all know how that goes.
Thanks Again,

Ok, here goes: From the first of the two shots you posted you can see that a 7.50 x 16 tire is one of the options. I went to TireRack's site and looked up that tire, although you have to tell it "none" for the center #, which is the aspect ratio. There I found that one of the tires they sell in that size is 31.5" in diameter and the other is 32.0" in diameter. Then I did the same thing for a 235/85x16 and found the tire is 31.7" in diameter, which is right in the middle of the other size so can use the same speedo driven gear. And, that gear is D0TZ 17285-A C0DD 17271-A, as shown in that first pic. From another page I can tell that is a Type 2A gear with 16 teeth. Hope that helps.
