lost od a few days ago still will shift 1st 2nd 3rd but wount go in to od what could it be ? help please.

It's time for a rebuild. Overdrive usually wears out first being that it spends the majority of its time in that gear. At least that's what I was told by two different trans builders.
I'm sorry to hear this, been there more than once myself.

Is the OD light flashing? If there are codes stored that would be the place to start. It could be something electrical that doesn't require a rebuild.

O D light not on does not even come on anymore speedometer does work dont know about codes yet will be cheacking thanks for all replys

Don't go to an auto parts store to read the codes. They can't read Ford transmission codes.
