2004 6.0 fuel filter question

2004 6.0 fuel filter question
i have a 2004 f250 6.0 L
when i bought my truck i did a motorcraft fuel filter and now im replacing the fuel filter again with a motorcraft filter and the filters look different
here is a pic. let me know what you guys think

this is the bottom filter (under truck)
here is the description
the first filter i installed (motorcraft) had like a nipple with a seal on it, the seal is not on the cap side
this filter that im installing (motorcraft) does not have a seal
(Motorcraft FD4604 & FD4616 Fuel Filter, 2003-07 F250 F350 F450 F550 6.0L
DIESEL)
i was checking ebay and it has the two filter for the same truck but one is the "new version"
