I am a bit stumped. I replaced a fuel line connector for the gas tank to the main line. Now, I am getting NO GAS at the carb so the truck won't start. If I put a bit of petrol into the carb, the engine turns over, so I don't believe there are any other underlying issues----just no gas. It worked fine prior to the new fuel line section which was brand new and clear (obsessive-compulsive types actually eyeball the line to see that there is nothing inside it).
Probly a shot in the dark, I had a simular probem after replacing fuel line on the 65 when a member recommended inserting air hose, or something simular, into fuel filler opening and lightly add air to the surface of the fuel, he cautioned about not applying too much force. I thought he was kidding but to my surprize it worked. Anyhow, may be worth a try???
Thanks for the responses guys! After being reminded of priming the pump (DOH!) I liberally did so....she cranked right up after the third attempt. Took her out for a little spin, then washed and waxed her in preparation for winter. I'll give inside the cab a good cleaning tomorrow and we're set for the colder months.
