Pulling to the left without breaking

I was coming home today and about a mile from the house...I felt like I was getting a flat tire. I didn't want to change a tire on the HWY so I kept rolling to get home. The truck started making a kind of rolling shake and when I got home...no flat tire! I checked everything out and took it for a spin and before long the steering wheel suddenly started pulling hard to the left. I've checked everything I can think of, I thought it had to be a wheel bearing but they seem fine. I jacked it up and the steering seems fine, I can't find anything wrong! Does anyone have any idea's?

swap tires left-to-right. that'll tell you if you have a problem in the wheel or elsewhere.

a bearing was my first thought too, you might double check even though you said you already checked once. check how much slack is in the bearing, friction spinning the wheel, etc.
are you a 4x4 or 4x2? a 4x4 model could have a problem in the axle shaft which can get kinda screwy, especially if the hub is left engaged when theres a problem there. a quick check there would be to turn the wheels all the way to one side and try spinning the wheel. should feel just like it does when straight ahead.

also check your steering linkages for any slack or anything weird. i doubt your problem is there, but its one more thing to check off the list

I just pulled the wheel and and popped the rotor, the bearings were real sloppy....some had some checks on em. This is a two wheel drive...I'm hoping this is it, I'll know tomorrow when I can pick up some new bearings, thank you for your quick response!

i think you found your problem. as you're at it, you may as well do them on both front wheels if you can afford it.

Ditto, on the tire seperation...

If the Op still has the problem after replacing bearings, and the brakes aren't hanging, as was mentioned before, switch tires from left to right to see if it pulls the other way...

+2... A wheel bearing would have to be really bad to cause a pull, melting to the spindle bad, even then I doubt you'd notice a pull.
