First SD Problem, I Think?
Hey guys, I have a 02 F-250 7.3 with stock suspension. When turning left my front right tire is making a loud clunking like sound. I only does this when I give full input to the steering wheel. Also I noticed that there is grease coming from the lugs from the front right wheel that is spreading to the middle of the wheel.
Is this a wheel bearing issue or something else. And if it is a wheel bearing issue is it difficult for a novice mechanic to fix the problem?

Is it 2wd or 4X4? Jack the front end up near the wheel, and check for play at the ball joints, steering linkage and wheel bearing. Grab the tire at the top and bottom and rock the wheel for in and out movement. Do the same at the front and rear of the tire. Put a bar under the tire to check for up and down movement. Don't use too much force with the bar. It will give a false reading because of spring movement. Then pull the wheel to see where the grease is coming from. You might want to check both sides. There may be more than one problem.
