Are these factory replacement injectors or performance aftermarket? Some OEM sets used an 'AE' injector in #8 which was a long lead injector to cure some of the engine cackle.
If your injectors are aftermarket, it should not matter which cylinder they go in, but I would consult your injector builder to confirm.
Well got em in and she lives again but way rough coming back down on idle without tunes. Definitely runs better right now but not cold. Will find out more on that after work tomorrow. Took 3.5 hours from fist tool out to last tool back. 1.5 guys working. Well the .5 guy was my dad, he was just puttering around. Good thing for him though.
Well I just drove it around about 5 miles. Parked back in my shop. Waited about 5 mins, very long crank time, like 10 seconds. Is this normal?
Sounds like there is still a bit of air in the system. Mine puffed a little white smoke and took a bit to start until I drive it 30 miles or so home.
It'll clear up and start quicker after some miles.

Well that will be a couple of days of driving to work and back for me. Maybe I'll just drive around at lunch tomorrow. Oh I can go vote to get the tool out of office at lunch. That will be an extra 15 miles. Thanks for all of the super quick replies!

What Frank said, you will likely have long cranks for a day or so.
Sounds like you will be set, hope you enjoy your truck again and it doesn't give you too much trouble for a while.
