Hi guys
Got a 93 f150 with a 4.9/300 in it, still have efi on it, ported intake, 5.0 throttle body, bigger injectors, hotter coil, and a clifford 2 piece header on it. Having issue with gettin the header to seal to the head. Just wondering if anybody else on here as put the header on an efi motor, and go it to seal. I'm going to be building a h pipe, with the o2 bung in it, and plumping the air injection and egr in when I build the exhaust system, but just want the header to seal before I chop up the pipes to build the system, or if I gotta pull it back apart and just live with the efi manifolds. Any help, info or suggestions would be great.
Btw, truck is 93 F150, 4x4, reg cab, lwb, with SAS, 3/4 ton rear springs, zf swap, 8.8 ls with 31spline upgraded shafts, 33x14.50 mickey thompsons, and a bunch or other modifications.
Well..there's nothin wrong with the efi manifolds..but I understand wanting the headers. You may wanna see if there's a spot that is binding with the intake..I know that alot of guys have that issue with the Clifford headers..id also be looking to see if something is warped. Other than that..I'd say to buy a thicker gasket. Hopefully I helped a little
