oil sender
How often do these wear out or are inaccurate? 2000 7.3 SD
I recently noticed that my oil pressure gage does not swing when the engine starts. It takes a couple of seconds before it moves. No noises as if the bearings were worn.
Any input would be appreciated

The oil pressure "sender" is not a sender at all. It's a switch. The specification is 6-8 PSI closing pressure. If the gauge moves into the "NORMAL" range, you have at least 7 PSI oil pressure.
