ECM calibration codes

Ok what I would like to find out is where I stand in the
ECM calibration codes with this

Is this what I should be looking for? If yes, is this one of the better ones
or is it a problem child and how current is it?

For those that what to know how I got this I used a Snap-on Solus V7.4
to pull the data.

Thanks
Sean

For 05-07 trucks:

There was VXCF4, VXCF5, VXCF7 and VXCF9. 5 is the "Buzz" flash and 7 is the FICM killer.

No 6 or 8 that I am aware of.

I have had the VXCF4 calibration since the truck was brand new (Early 2005) and have never had a problem with it ( the code). Is there any reason for getting the newer flash at this point? (Besides the cost of the flash, I would also have the extra cost of getting my SCT tunes updated also)

Prior to having it updated to VXCF9, my (early) '06 was VXCF6.

Doing a google search you are the only person to ever claim the vxcf6 strategy.

Unless it was a factory flash that was only used for a few build cycles.

Flash 7 was released a few months after the Buzz flash.

That's because Flash 4 is considered, for the most part, the better of the strategies.

It just doesn't have the injector stiction precausions like the Buzz Flash or Induction Heating of Flash 9.

So really they all have their pluses and minuses. I personally like the Buzz Flash, but I realize it annoys the crap out of most people.

The Buzz flash gets it's nickname from the fact the injectors "buzz" or pulse up to 30 seconds after the engine was shut off...

The tuning guys like the VXCF4 better than the VXCF9. Better performance platform and better mileage. IMHO you're better off to stay where you are now.

Hmmmm... now I am seriously second guessing myself.

I am very certain the calibration of my 2005 F250 which was updated October 2006 was VXCF5. Which was the Buzz Strategy.

I used a buddy's SCT today and pulled a VXCF4HH on my 2006, which the OASIS showed as being updated January 26th. 2007. Still "Buzz" strategy territory and my truck does indeed have the 30 seconds+ buzzing of the injectors after engine shut-down.

So either I was wrong about strategies, or my truck has a modest tune installed and did not realize it.

My truck has the VXCF0. Any pros/cons about it? I do have a SCT tuner. I hear the injectors buzz when the key is turned on before start up. But not after it is shut off.

Thanks
