ok just went and got my truck from that mechanic shop. not sure what to think. the mechanic when i asked for technical terms said "well in technical terms i have a 15000 dollar machine that blocks off each cylinder individually and does a ballance test. so i say a cylinder contribution and he says yes. my problem with this is the ses. will the ses come on because of a mechanical cilinder contribution or only an electrical? he says the buzz test was good on all 8 so that would rule out the uvch right? thinking about ripping off the vc and doing some investigation myself. one guy said he had a stock injector he could donate to the cause but i dont think it will do me anygood because i have stage 2.

here is my conudrum if i take it to david lott who is surely a beast i then pay for the same diagnosis 2 times. then pay for the injectors. if it is not then i save on the injectors. can i pull the valve cover and witness the injectors fireing or not with my actual eyes or does it not work like that.

yes you can pull the valve covers and start it up.....you wont see the injectors firing but you will see the oil flowing from them which indictes that they are in fact firing...the flow should be consistent between them.

also while you are there....you can un-plug each injector one at a time and see how it affects the idle/noise that you may have.

as for the UHCH you will see what that is once you get in there. just make sure its connected fully. jiggle and wiggle all the wires under there and look for any that are damaged.

look at the big bundle of wires that comes up on the drivers side...sometimes the wires will get damaged from rubbing there.

i fixing to leave work...good luck trying to find your issue.

If he has a 15000 cylinder contribution test machine then does he have a machine that can read the codes in your truck? You have codes stored if you have the SES light coming on and off. What are the other symptoms of your truck running or no start issue? Do you already have a thread on your problems?
We need a little more info?
What area of the country are you in?
How many miles on your vehicle?

Yes I have a couple previous threads. Evilinkchris is my handle. Actually today it running way better than before seemed like my uvch was a little loose but not the 1/4 inch I usually hear about. Symptoms were sever loss of power and ses light on. Really rough idle shaking like a leaf. Wouldn't outrun a damn possum. I put my ts chip on it hit the pedal and rolled coal idled decent afterwords. Before that I pulled the vc and unplugged the 2 injectors the mechanic told me were bad. Motor stalled down both times. He says he fired the guy that was working on my truck and doesn't know what codes were stored apparently they don't write them down. I will hopefully get some codes tomorrow when I meat up with a couple brothers from this forum

Dwayne I live in northeast Houston. I have round about 258000 miles on my truck but 80-85 on injectors and Trans. If we can get it figured out I will be taking it to David Lott

I know that there are at least two Brothers in the Houston area from this forum.
Also on the uvch.....When you were in there did you unplug the harness all the way and check for burnt pins on the plug? You can check the pins on the outside plug also but you really need to look at the pins on the UVCH to verify that they are not burnt as this is just as bad as not being plugged in. Most people replace if it is burnt.
