That ventilator sure looks to be in great shape. Can't see any chips.

When you field-strip a lantern, you REALLY do a thorough job, Sean!

You also do a nice job with the photography!

Too bad about the U-bent pricker. Have you ever successfully straightened one?

I have one that the pump's check valve seems to be inop. How successful have you been with removal of check valves?

This was my 2nd straightening and 3rd finger *****.

I bought one of those check valve removers - slicker than snot on a doorknob (you can borrow).

Steve, that's the smoothest lighting lantern ever. Almost like it was beggin' to be lit up again...

She sure looks fine.

Rain picked up a little last night. I drove probably 10 different ambulances. Its interesting to see how the E-Series van series progressed. It is not at all in line with the F-Series and I believe last night I drove ever combination out there.

The E-Series used the 6.0 from 2003 to 2010, no 6.4 to speak of.
But that doesnt mean it got the updated features.
The E-Series kept the same nose and interior until sometime after 2008 (I assume) when the nose got the update to the new look with the square headlights. But it surely got the new interior. Nope. We have a couple "new-nose" vans with the old interior just like my truck has. But we also have a couple with an updated interior that matches the new trucks, but only slightly. The steering wheel is still the same and the gauges are dumbed down. I assume to match the electronics of the 6.0.

Just interesting to see how fuzzy the lines are on transition when compared to the F-Series. Many of our older vans have near 300,000 miles on their stock 6.0s. Little lacking in power compared to the newer ones, but a lot better than the Chevy vans we have. I HATE the chevys...

Anyone in the LA area with a jack available tomorrow? My hefty rear bumper needs realigned or removed (I have the factor and hitch in my bed). I dont feel comfortable towing my trailer home they way it is right now.
