Didn't think I would have much response on this thread, but its turned out to be interesting. Just looking at pics I've already got some ideas in my head. Don't however want to make it as cramped as the hummer is.
need ideas. i think i know how im going to fiberglass off of the stock bezel to make my "panel" with the radio, switches, etc. the floor will be easy as well making the actual console/storage part of it (not sure if all that space in the hummer has storage but mine will nearly be able to fit a small child in it LOL)
anyways, should i keep my arm rests or not? if i dont, i will incorporate an armrest of some sort on the top of the console at the right height that is comfortable.
When you pull the arm rests you will have two rods that stick out. You need to cut them flush but there is no going back. Pull a cover and take a look before you make your final decision.
