power is out due to trees down all over the place, but other than some flooding it is a big non event here along the shores of the raritan bay.

Here on the Va. coast in Norfolk I got out of this pretty good. A lot of rain for 3 days and a few windy times. Never lost power, but I had the generator ready. We just had our usual localized tidal flooding. I know we got off easy and farther North got tore up pretty good.
Although I did almost screw up my front tank. I put some old gas in to empty out a gas can so i could get fresh gas for the generator, when I switched to the front tank it would run. Added a can of seafoam and still wouldn't run. Added a can of HEAT drygas and it seams fine now. i am going to run that tank out and run a full tank of fresh gas and another can of Seafoam just to be safe

I'm about 45 minutes from the Ky/WV stateline....

Have had some hellacious rain for about 2 days or so...COLD weather has set in I think...

And some of the higher elevations got 1-4" of snow this morning...

But overall..We're all cool (No pun intended)

Here in the panhandle, we got 5.5" of rain, so far. Went driving around and saw a tree or branch down here and there, but not too bad. GF went to work, towards DC and said she didnt see too much carnage. Our power never even blinked, but I hear a lot of people lost power. I kinda wanted to use the generator since I got it all prepped.

tjc,
I lost my marbles the day I got Married

In Fisherville Pa. near 19320 ,We have been without utility power since 2PM yesterday, But I do have 2 generators running so we are OK with cooking ,lights, satellite & computer.
I just have to go down to the creek to get water to flush toilets. We don't have running water because our spring house is down about 300 yards in our woods and draws too many Amps for our generators to handle. Both are 3500 watts. Larger 10,000 watt would be needed. But these storm outage's are too rare to justify the cost. Luckily our bridge, stable house and garage did not get hit by two trees that came down on our property near the garage. We are very grateful that all is well and we were safe. My thoughts and prayers go out for those who died or suffering from this storm.

Not bad at all. Power outages were spotty. Kinda weird. Seems like transformers overloaded with all the power flickers and popped the transformer breaker. Causing weird outages. Like the middle traffic light in a series was out, along with one business, but surrounding places were fine. Then down the road a housing complex had no power, but street lights were on.
Power went out for 12 hours or so. Had a fire going and stayed warm at night.
Wind was heavy but rain wasn't much at all.

We had the strong wind and heavy rain. When I went down to get water from our creek I thought I was lookin at a river, I think the fish that lived under our bridge may have changed zip codes

Doing OK here in Southern RI. I'm about three miles from the coast, house is fine and very little damage to the neighborhood. Just got power back.

Bad news is, the building I work in and maintain lost its roof. Peeled back like a tuna can. As far as I can tell, there was minimal damage to our equipment, and we're now making plans to relocate to the vacant building next to us.

It's amazing what these storms are doing. Over on Lake Michigan there have been 30+ foot waves from it. And that's half a country away.
