I just received this message in IRC.
He is not a close friend, but a good person.
[15:45] <Sikpup> guys, I have some terrible news and I know that Rich (sikpup) would want you to know: His 22 month old son drowned and died in their backyard pond yesterday and he is just beside himself with grief. If you can send prayers his way, we would all appreciate it. The boys Name was Richard Edwin-Ehmer Specht. A real angel. God bless you all and all of your families. Hug them tight.
[15:46] <Talyn> Holy **** that is horrible.
[15:46] <Talyn> =\
[15:48] <Sikpup> he pulled him out and tried his best to ressuscitate him. To hear the story is heartbreaking. I am sure he will not be on for a while, but when you see him, please let him know.
Man, that is terrible. I can't even imagine. Chokes me up to attempt to think of what this guy and his family are going through.
I am saying prayers for this man and his family. This is the kind of "storm" that every parent dreads to even think about having to weather. Hopefully they have others around them to help hold them up in this impossible time.
This is really horrific. Every parent's worst nightmare.
Prayers sent also. A guy here at work had that happen to his little one in there pool last year. It is still hard for me to talk to him with out thinking about it.
