Preparing for radiator flush.

I have the Zerex (Diesel Ready-Extended Life) coolant. I like the idea of neat-and-clean for the block plugs (near starter and oil filter). They look 3/8 npt, are they? I want to screw barbs into those locations and attach hoses to run out to the side of the truck.
I do not mind putting a few more dollars into this. Any suggestions to make this flush neat and painless?

What's the purpose of the barbs and hose? You can run the engine with those open to flush, provided you are supplying an adaquate flow of new water.

While following info here, the barbs and hose

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...formation.html

connections will give me more control while using the distilled water in multiple flushes.

He wants to limit the splash/spray. Nicer, neater flush with less mess is what he's after.
