I'm in the process of wiring an aftermarket tach onto my 67 f250 and I'm not too sure where to splice the "power" red wire into the truck. The instructions say to splice into the battery fuse, however I do not have one. I was looking at splicing into the ignition switch but I'm not sure which wire is a constant 12V while in the run position. There is a red wire with a thin green stripe that looks promising, but I'm looking for the guessing game. Any other locations or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
I'll try the test light. As far as the Aux on the fuse box I don't have one. All locations are for various lights, cigar, and heater. Unless You are talking about the two spade terminals. I figured those are related to the light fuses that are next to them. They aren't labeled. I'll take a look at the wires behindthe spades and see if they look promising.
Yup, anything that turns on/off with key will be fine. It won't draw enough power to hurt anything.
I usually try to stay away from fuses like that. Only cause if you have a problem, you loose those lights(while on the road or whatever). I'd pick Radio or heater? Something less of importance. Just saying.
Funny thing is my lights don't work anyway. Only the front passenger turn signal and interior lights. On that topic how do you remove the headlight switch **** and the shaft its connected to. I have the whole assembly loose, but the **** won't come out.

On the headlight switch, look for a spring loaded push button. Push it down while removing **** and shaft as one piece. The **** and shaft are one piece so don't try to remove the **** from shaft.
Awesome! I saw the button on top but didn't put 2 and 2 together. I figured the **** and shaft were an assembly just didn't know how to get it out. Going to go do that now. Thanks everybody for the tips!
