i am getting ready to upgrade my injectors on my 96 f-250. i would like to know if anyone could help me out on a couple thing i got on my mind. i want to send them to jim and would like to know about how much the injector weigh so i can calculate shipping. i plan on doing stage 1's so where can i send my hpop to get modded with the 17* hpop? this will be a budget build so any tips from you all will be greatly apreciated.
I was able to fit my injectors wrapped in shop towels in one of those USPS flat rate shipping boxes. There were little to no movement. Any empty space I stuffed with newspaper
In My understanding, the T500 is a SUPERIOR upgrade over ther Stock 15* pump....When my pump gets below 2700 psi at WOT ,. then I will be getting a T500 and Installing it as fast as it gets delivered....and it is a direct install ..No BamBaclot stuff... with gaskets and other irrelevant crap.....
Please, please, please don't use the USPS flat rate boxes.
I don't know how many we get here that are in those plastic tubs, broken open and missing injectors.
You might as well just wrap them in shrink wrap and throw a stamp on them. Those boxes are not near strongh enough.
If you insist on using a flat rate boxe (Large is best, allows for maximum wrapping and packing cushining), make sure they are packed tight and cover EVERY square inch of the box with heavy clear packaging tape.
Seems like a general rule is the insurance alone will cost as much or more than the actual shipping cost, regardless of who you use.
So you can get away really cheap with no insurance.
$25 is very typically with decent insurance, even with the flat rate boxes.
DZL JIM I have a set of cores i bought a while back to send off to get rebuilt but a couple of them have gotten a little surface rust from not being oiled. can i still send these out to u?
Most likely that will clean up fine on the outside. The big concern is what the parts inside look like. If they are that rusted, they might need some $$$ new parts.
