Ok guys im back....did the filter switch per manual. Purged system per manual. No leaks anywere. Truck will not start!!! Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Did you hit the inertial switch? If so it needs to be reset. Perhaps hit it and reset it anyway.
Bleed the fuel system by cycling the ignition 3 times in the following sequence:
Turn the ignition key ON without cranking the engine.
Wait 30 seconds for the fuel conditioning module to run.
Turn the ignition key OFF.
Test the system for normal operation. If the engine will not start there may still be air in the fuel system, continue bleeding the fuel system with the following steps.
Install one end of a suitable hose onto the secondary fuel filter and the other end into a suitable container.
Cycle the ignition 3 times in the following sequence until no air is present in the fuel system:
Turn the ignition key ON without cranking the engine.
Wait 30 seconds for the fuel conditioning module to run.
I had this happen - no start after filter change. The issue was air in the system since the oring at the top did not seal at the canister. First i pulled the fuel line off the secondary and made sure i saw fuel. Then i went under the truck and dropped the black canister again and used another oring actually reused the old one as i found a burr on the new one and removed the new one. Cleaned old one and wiped with diesel and carefully made sure that the oring did not roll. Make sure the canister is tight and fully seated. I purged for more than six times. Finally started, but was freaked out and the wife factor did not help. Hope this helps as remember this like yesterday.
