Blinker Problems

I just had a reading truck body installed on my 2012 F350 pickup. I noticed when i got onto the road that the blinker was going really fast instead of the normal pace. The new body has LED lights. Im not sure if that could be the problem. Anyone have any suggestions for me?

I would have thought that the LEDs would be current adjusted to not cause a significant change to the blinker speed. Just because it makes sense though doesn't mean it happened.

My dumb question of the moment, the LEDs flash with the blinker, light up when you hit the brakes, and glow with the running lights active right?

Yes the LEDs flash with the blinker, light up when you hit the brakes, and glow with the running lights

When i put the emergency flashers they flash at the normal rate of speed only when i use the signal does it speed up

Well, I'm going to have to say that I have no idea. It will require someone with more experience with LED lights and perhaps the 2012 wiring setup.

Sorry I can't be more helpful, but now it is included that everything is lighting up so it shouldn't be just an unplugged connector in the back.

How is is the flash rate compare turn to hazard?
They should be about the same rate. If not you
may want to add some resistance so they do.

Sean
NOTE : It's all based on current draw. LED's are a low current device. You could try to switch to a HD flasher unit and see if that helps.

The hazard runs normal. The signal goes at least 2 or 3 times faster. I am thinking of swapping out the led's and going to regular bulbs

As stated by Yahiko you probably need a load compensator to provide an equivalent load to the circuit and it will blink at the regular rate

This is a common issue when running LED's
