I recently bought a 1984 f250 4x4 xlt 51k miles. The truck is in really good condition. Interior is almost flawless, except the door panels, And id like to replace them. I have searched for hours on the net for replacements. mine have the speakers in them and two strips of carpet. I have found panels just not the ones that are in my truck. Ive looked at all the obvious sites. If someone could point me in the right direction id really appreciate it. thanks in advance.
Ive checked at LMC, JC,Bronco graveyard and quite a few other sites. My panels have a carpeted kick panel on the bottom and another carpeted strip that matches the fabric on my seats. My plan is to update the interior with new black carpet and put in two tone corbeau seats. Ill post some pics so you guys can see the panels I have.
If you find a source for replacement XLT lariat door panels please let me know.
I have searched high and low as well and only come up with the bare bone panels that come in the low end trucks. All the ones i find in the junk yard are screwed.
Is it just the tops of the door panels that are bad? I have renewed my door panels by sanding the crusty stuff off and getting dupont to mix my some vinyl paint. They do a REAL GOOD job of matching and the paint holds up very well.
I cleaned the hell out the panels, and they look descent, the arm rests are totally worn out though, cant find them either. Truck is an 84 Thats whats on the original title.
Check your VIN. The dash is not from an 84 model, nor is the frontend. Unless it has been extensively modified, I suspect it is an 8th gen truck. Could it be a typo on your title?
I just looked at the pics of your truck. That's not a 1984.
oops
I just looked too. If you are talking about the black truck in your profile, it's a '87 up truck. Maybe that's why you are having problems finding the correct pads.
