one small plastic arm that routes wires away from female connector is broke and lodged down the AFT push rod cavity on my #4 cylinder. i tried to fish it out last night but managed to loose sight of it. i think with some thin wire i might be able to track it down in the head molding area... my question is, if i don't find it, how screwed am i? the piece is a little smaller than the plastic clips you find on ink pens to clip to shirts and such... i moved this conversation from a different thread called UVCH... tore up.
any and all advice is welcome and entertained.
The piece of thin brittle plastic fell down the push rod hole?
I wouldn't worry about the plastic, but if it was part of the retaining assembly to keep the wiring from rubbing against the push rods, then you need to worry about the loose wires getting chaffed by the push rods as you drive it.
I don't think i would worry TOO much about it, but id definitely exhaust all measures in getting it out, its both good and bad thats its plastic, metal does more damage, but a magnet can pull it out
