Hey guys today I worked on my 04 6.0 when i pulled the degus bottle red coolent came out I dont use anything but preimum gold I had jiffy lube do the last oil change and had them put in the ford oem always oil filter with rotella 15-40 took the truck back today they said and showed me they dont use anything but gold but they could pull the recorded video to see. what would cause this ? we checked the tranny dip stick and it was red not milky same with the oil dip. Benny also I cleaned the EBP and tube some debre and black soot but not clooged went to ford today to find out the ICP is on the rocker cover so this truck is the later 04, tomarrows job is the MAP sensor and tubeing and less bleeding to the hands LOL. jiffy did top every thing off
also coolent smells like coolent not tranny or diesal fuel and its not oily feeling. going for the flush monday.First thing
I hope your going to Install a New Radiator first or the flush will be a Waiste of time
You have a Internal Trans cooler in the radiator Just follow the lines from the passengerside External trans filter to the front of truck you will see Trans lines goes into the Radiator
I think Mark K. Said this was to help heat the Trans Fluid why it goes into the radiator
OH defently, looking in tech but dident see any thing on the severity of skin loss in changeing the radiator ha ha, doin the map tomarrow, but I shouldent start or shouldent drive any way the CHEVY will get me to work. OLD BLUE has 3650000and some change on it and still runnig great..

I wish I can say I'm sorry but 1992 silverodo with ONLY 1 recall come on ford , bpd radiator should I be looking for alum exterior and int core or is ext all plastic now days, with the chem flush the 60s have to have dont want anything getting eatin up. in nor cal 1800 radiator the 92 has had one in for 5 years now. also looked up Champion but didnt see 04 diesal on there web
The thing with Diesels is they all Got to good reliability point then they all had to get Emmisions compliant something the Gassers had to go threw Along time ago Im shure they had there Issues to

This what the trans cooler looks like inside the bottom plastic tank.
If the tranny cooler is compromised it has nothing to do with the plastic.
