51 F5 vin decode

Hi,
Hey can somebody decode my vin for me?

It's a 1951 Ford F5 with a 239 flathead v8.

F5R1GH 25093

Unfortunately, there's nothing else there except model number (F5R) and the weight rating (14000 lbs)

Thanks for the help!

Jerry

Earl's World has a VIN decoder ring. Don't even have to collect Ovaltine labels!

F5 = F5
R= 239 V8
GH = no such assembly plant. Could it be CH for Chicago?
25093 = Consecutive unit off the line

Thanks for the help guys! Yes it is ch, not gh. Hard to read as the tag isn't in the best shape!

And I forgot to say... Welcome to FTE!

We love pictures here. It feeds our addiction. The pics have to be somewhere on the Internet to add them to your posts. One way to post pics in your threads is using Photobucket.

Go to Photobucket and sign up for a free account. Then create an album for your truck. Upload any pics you want to post on FTE to that album. Have this album open on your computer when you want to post pics on FTE.

While you're making a post on FTE, select the pic you want to post from your Photobucket album. When the large version of the pic is open, right mouse click on it and select "View Image Info". The image info will be highlighted and will look something like this:
http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...ghtsafter1.jpg

Copy that highlighted info (right click / copy).

When you have the spot in your post where you want the pic to be placed, select the "Insert Image" icon at the top of the post (looks like a mountain) and paste (right click / paste) the image info you copied in the highlighted box (just shows "http://" when it opens).

Your pic will be placed in the post.

Hope that helps.

Sweet, thanks I'm on it! She's a work in progress that's for sure. I need to scout some flathead v8 parts as I can afford them. Starting with exhaust manifolds.

It seems awkward, but whenever you "insert a picture" to one of these threads, the forum is looking for the picture somewhere on the web (which is always available) rather than from somewhere on your hard drive (which isn't always available).
