Pulling your steering wheel

so, thankfully for drills and taps, I got my steering wheel back off last night.

The ring I snap tied on..
Oh crap, some of you new guys probably have no clue.

Alright, moving on.

The ring I snap tied to the back of the wheel broke.
(if anyone has one, I'd like it!!)

So, its been apparently floating around in there.
I could hear it clicking. yesterday the off on the cruise sped me up. I figured I better fix it.

Holy crap I couldn't get my damn wheel off. Stripped out the bottom threads.

Okay, WTF to do. Okay sweet, I have a tap.
Drilled it, taped it.
Drilled the other one though and tapped that one too. Finally got it busted loose.

My god!
If you take this thing off, put some damn antisieze on it!
Thats my tip.

That and I guess dont crank down the center bolt so much. I must have pushed it past the spline or something. *shrugs*

As well, make sure there is still loctite on the center bolt.
