9inch gear set
picked up some ford stuff at an estate sale recently.one of the items is a rear end gear set.what numbers off of it can i post here that will help me determine if A..its a traclock and B..IF its even a 9in.dont have enough posts to put pics up.

measure the ring gear, if its 9" then its a 9". For the rest, you could instantly tell if it was a trac lock because it will have the track lock carrier instead of an open carrier with spider gears, so that ones easy. As for the gear ratio just count the teeth on the ring and the pinion.
