that would be kewl. only problem you might run into would be if you had electric windows and locks . you would have to install some quick release for the wires going to those and also for your speakers. but it could be done.
i have herd of it being done to broncos(yeah duh) and plan to convert mine soon. what i plan to do is get some general wire plugs from like radio shack and some long grade 5 bolts to replace the solid pins that hold the door. my friend did it to his truck............its awsome.... my turn!

The Electric windows / Powerlocks have a quick disconnect located in the kick panels to the left and right of the cab down by the footspace. All you would have to do is make quick connects for the speakers

here's a thought. Although you will not be able to use them with the door open you can get spring loaded connectors (*** truck) or any mini-van sliding door and put them in the jamb or on the edge.
you probabley just need a 12V pos. the doorlocks and windows can work on the same lead. althogh if you run door speakers you'll need atleast a 3 connector.
The connectors are called "Jamb Tac" in the Jeg's catalog. They have 2, 3 and 4 wire connectors, with the 4 being $24.99.
As far as legality, I'm pretty positive that here in Florida, it is illegal to drive any vehicle without doors. Unless it comes factory like that, such as a dune buggy or sand rail. Even though Jeep doors are removable, they have to be installed to be street legal.
I did this on my fullsize f-250 and you can't beat the visibility. I love it. I have driven through town and cops have seen me and I have yet to get harrased.
I went to advance auto and bought a door/hinge repair kit with the brass bushings and I ground down the splines at the top to keep the pin from being stubborn. I am about to weld a metal rod on the top or something of the sort to act as a handle.
I just pull the 2 pins, throw my door(s) in the bed and go. I relocated my door speakers to the supercab part and I have manual windows/locks so I am good to go.
