SD F 250 vs F150

I am looking at both vehicles and wondering which would be a better purchase.
Because of the discounts the F 250 diesel cost is not significantly more expensive then the F150 Lariet with ecobooster, max tow and HD.

They are within 2000 of each which way should I go?

Thanks

Only YOU can answer this question.

If you don't tow much, the F-150 would do everything you need.

If you do tow a lot, or plan to tow a lot in the futrure, the F-250 would do everything you need.

How much weight do you want to carry? The 150 Crew Cab 6.5 foot bed can carry around 1500lbs. The 250 is 3000 and the 350 is 4000. With the above 150 an 800 pound quad in the bed and 800lbs of people and gear and your over weight, don't even think of adding 600lbs of tongue weight.

Couple things to point out here.

1. Regardless of Ford's "ratings" (which are worthless anyway) an Ecoboost F-150 will haul that load, including the trailer, all day long and not break a sweat.

2. If you want to be technical, that same load would likely put an F-250 overweight as well.

Figure out if you can handle any costs associated with each engine, if it breaks and you have a $45,000 lawn ornament the whole discussion is a moot point. Then drive both, and buy the one that makes you feel like more like a 15 y/o girl at a Bieber concert. If you can handle the money stuff, then nothing beats being excited about driving a truck every time you get in it.
