AOD VB/ Baumann Shift reprogramming kit. Any other VB mods?
I have read about the epoxy mod and other mods I can't even count!
I have the Baumann shift reprogrammer kit.
Sorry "SPT" I bought this before I knew...It was recommended by a truck buddy of mine.
I am confused about what should, and should not, be done in conjunction with this shift kit.
Again '49 Ford streetrod pickup.
engine: "96 Ford Explorer 5.0 gt-40 factory setup all stock.
using '89-'93 Mustang MAF EFI
3:73 rear (8.8 limited slip from an explorer)
This will be a weekend driver/cruise-in toy. NO drag-racing.

I have never personally installed a Baumann kit, but I know others that have them in their Mustangs, mostly Fox body cars, and they report a very harsh 1-2 shift.
I personally have installed the Trans-Go shift improver kit in many AODs with good, consistent results. The shifts are crisp and positive with out being harsh.
