I have a 96 F150 4x4 that orginally had a 5 spd in it, lost first and second gear in it so then put in a c6. Long story short I burnt it up and now am about to rebuild it. While it is out for the rebuild I am going to put a wide ratio gear set in it because I'm still running the orginal 3.55s with 33s, so the lower first and second gears will help me out until I can change rear end gears.
When I first installed the transmission I was in a hurry, just ran rubber hoses to an aftermarket cooler, I need to fix that. Would the lines from a e4od or another transmission work? I also need a dipstick tube, I used a lokar flexible tube but its not quite long enough to do what I need to do, and the adapter thing to fill it keeps getting lost, frustrating... anyhow I can find c-6 tubes for older trucks, does anyone know if they would fit in my truck? or would a tube from another transmission work?
