help with trasmission

have a 460 with a c6 and want to change to an aod or manual trans
is in a 66 f100

I would leave the c6. I've kicked myself for not rebuilding mine....

You can search for "AOD behind 460" to pull up several google results to see the adapters used to mate one. The other problem with going to a AOD is the amount of upgrades you will need to perform to handle the added TQ. Broader Performance is the only place I know of who has the jig to mill off the bell housing. They are also the retailer that I would use to purchase the parts to rebuild the C6. They sell a wide ratio kit which would allow you to add a lower gear set for better MPG without sacrificing take off.
