This is so sad, my o6 f 250 check engine came on. I went to my dealer for a dionostic which came back P 1149, ( sec alt bad ). Dealer stumped, I don't have a second alt. Dealer in stalled 3 alts. and told me it was fixed. One mile down the road the light came on again. I looked under the hood when I got home and saw the new alt and right next to it on the fender was flying squrill nest that the tech did not even examine or even give a though to it being the problem. I removed all the nest to find the wires for the second alt eaten into. This is after I went on line to JustAnswer ( for another $ 37.00 ) and got a tech that knew what he was talking about. What happened to old fashion give a crap to go the extra mile to check a problem. I bough some shrink sleeve and fixed the problem myself.

It's the new sad reality of the American "worker". It's the sole reason our country is in such a decline. Some poeple have no shame any more. Atleast it's fixed now. I can't stand squirells. They do a number on your home also.
