Converter question
i am wanting my 02 F250 superduty to get better milage and sound like a beast! I removed the stock muffler with a cherry bomb and installed a spectre air filter. No result. i may as well just gave the guy my money and asked him to pick a freaking tiny tim song for me. Same satisfaction. NONE! Will removing my cat get better milage and better sound or amke it run worse. btw a ssticker is no problem. Shhh! Nobodu knows that haha! thanks. USMC dad!

Soooo.... what was your question? Also, someone should take away your autozone rewards card. Youre not using it right.

Long story short if I remove my catalytic converter will my ECU recognize it isn't there and make it run worse and btw I do not use Auto Zone. I have found that girls right out of hi school do not know the difference between a spark plug and a bottle of Mtn Dew.

I dont think the PCM will know the difference. Check for O2 sensors, but I dont think there are any. If you want your truck to sound good go get a full 4" MBRP exhaust. They sound sweeeet.

Also, the Spectre intake isnt gonna do you any good. Here is a picture of one from a 7.3. The turbo tried to fold the filter inside out.

catalytic converter problems
I have a 97 expedition with 210,000 miles with 5.4 v8 for alittle while i was driving it down the street and setting off car alarms took it to mineke they said ur cat are bad $1200,00 dollars i gave them the finger walked out so i started shopping around still no decent prices so i started asking friends and bingo went to JOEL MUFFLER ZONE they gave me a quote of $150 Yes so i let them cut out the bad converter and problem both my right side cats were bad so it was a grand total of $275.00 for two right side cats they are fixed sounds great they use only max flow parts but i posted this for anyone in Philadelphia pa with Cat or any type exaust problems these guys do great fast work and reasonable prices JOELS

Oops. With so many tabs open I sometimes forget which ones are in the SD forum and not the 7.3 forum. Hopefully he doesnt buy an MBRP exhaust for his V10 and expect it to sound like that...
