Transmission trouble
Hi, new here. I have 2001 F-150 2wd w/v6 and OD automatic. All of a sudden I have no reverse and while in od will not shift into od. If I turn off od it shifts fine but still have no reverse. Any help? I want my truck back!!! Thanks for any help!

That truck should have the 4R70W transmission in it, this transmission is notorious for a broken sun gear shell. When this shell is broken you will loose second, fourth and reverse.
Sorry but it sounds like this transmission will have to be removed to be repaired.

If the OD lamp does not flash signaling a fault is present, then you need a good trans shop to look at the situation.
Reverse is a total manuel action with the shift linkage.
There is no shift solenoid involved except the pressure control for all operations, for reverse since it's only one gear and never upshifts or down shifts.
Be sure the shift selector is not out of adjustment and connecting rod is in good shape.
