Hey guys when I bought my truck the back window was tapped up and I thought the frame was bad and needed to be replaced. But it looks like it was actually replaced with a plexiglass peice and taped in place. My question is can I just get one of the window panes or is it something that I have to replace the whole thing?
The ONLY way to get one of the 4 panels is to go to a junk yard and dissect another slider. You will need to do the same to yours to gee the 1 piece in.
But you will want the newest slider that will fit. The older ones did nothing but leak. The 95+ ones had the better latch as well
I was able to pick up one of those latches and adapted it to the rear window on my 92. Works out well and better piece of mind with a little added security.
Call around to a few auto recyclers to see if they have any. New ones through auto glass companies aren't cheap, although I would see if they do installs.
