"The truck was up in Charlotte last weekend at the Charlotte Auto Fair and it had no less than 15-30 people around all day long and was without a doubt the most photographed vehicle there."
WTF? Built by a race car builder with a "steel walled tube chassis"... As opposed to what, wood walled 2x4s?
How is it street legal with no headlights? Rear shocks are afco double adjustable that sell for 2500. ea??!!! I have custom one of a kind handbuilt Penske double adjustable aluminum remote reservoir racing shocks on my Solstice that cost 3500.00 for the set of 4. The only shocks I know that get anywhere near 2500.00 each are 4 way adjustable Formula 1 shocks. Even the Corvette computerized self adjusting magnetic fluid shocks aren't 2500.00 each. "The transmission is a Saginaw 3-speed and it is mounted in reverse to get the shifter over where it needs to be." Does that mean the engine drives into the tailshaft or it's turned upside down? If it's upside down it won't last too long that way since it won't get proper lubrication The cluster gear is designed to run submerged in trans lube, not out in the air. If it drives into the tailshaft you would have 1 speed forward and 3 in reverse!
No question that's written by a clueless individual, I think what he means is that the shifter assembly is mounted backwards, which would move it from over the center of the trans to the left side of the trans. The more important question is how a Saginaw 3-sp handles the power that engine has (maybe it runs as bad as the truck looks?), and how he shifts it with a 4-ft-long shifter handle. The claimed 4000 miles they put on the truck must have been pure hell...(or a lie)
They say a vehicle you own is a reflection of your self, saying who and what you are. If so , I feel sorry for the individual that put that piece of scrap metal together, a big waste of a few good parts. Do they think of themselves as being wasted ?____Sorry I can't find any thing positive to say about it .
Ya, same here. Would like ta see it so's I could laugh at it too.
Ha ha ha, I had seen it in the early post but didn't pay much attention, so I go back to see what everyone is talking about. Maybe someone saved it for us.
What a POS!!
Whoever wrote the description for the ad was so full of bs that it has to be running out of every orifice. I read through the ad, the whole time thinking BS, BS, BS, BS.....
Then I got to the pictures, then I got to the chassis pictures......LOL, fabricated by a winston cup chassis builder....yeah right, more like fabricated the chassis while smoking winstons
The garbage can pretty much sums it up. Atrocious copper plumbing job. I'm not a plumber but I have done better soldering than that. Oh yeah, it's a plumber's rat rod!
