01 brake help

On my expodietion.I got new rotors and pads for front.I pushed caliper all way in and I'm still a good 1/8 short of getting on rotor.I called auto parts store and double checked stock numbers to what I have.all good there.I broke bleeder screw open and opened m/c cap.am I missing something?

What's holding you up, the guide pins hitting the caliper mounting bracket, or are the pads not far enough apart?

This will make you laugh...pissed me off...I get right side rotor on, caliper holding bracket,push caliper cups in,new pads on.pads about 1/8" to fat.frustrated to point of biting my ratchet in half I walked away.came back hour later,same thing.put old pads on went to store and gave me wrong ones.I called parts house before to double check numbers and guy said numbers are good.anyways they gave me $10 off the diffence.did left side in under a hour.I just wasn't sure if pistons could get bound up or something.

I had the exact same problem with my 99 Navi. Only on the rears. The new pads were about an 1/8 inch too thick and would not fit over the rotor. I ended up putting the old one back in.
