Haha. Fal I did close to that. I took a blue paint pen and put a B.S. right over the cover where the spring is underneath so I can remember if I ever change anything or sell it.
So how about guages? I was looking at a scanguage 2 and wondered what everyone out there was running. Seems like a good price for a good span of parameters.

DashBoss looks much prettier than the ScanGaugeII. Does it measure all the same stuff? Only thing about the DashBoss is that you have to have an iPod or iPhone, which I don't.

If you have an android phone or tablet you can use the Torque app.
Mark, you're correct. I don't want you to think I'm avoiding your advice, but if I can get the same data spending $23-$60, that's always better than $135ish.
I hear ya! I have yet to find an electronic gauge system that does everything you need though - besides the scangauge. The CTS does not do a few key things. My DashDAQ does everything but FICM voltage. Maybe the Torque App and the DashBoss do everything, just don't know.
Some key ones that aren't common, but are important - FICM Sync, CAM/Crank Sync, and ICP desired.
As long as someone has the initial hardware, the DashBoss and Torque APP are great options

At this point there is very, very little ScanGauge does that DashBoss cannot. The last version 1.6 added several dozen PID's.
The best thing about DashBoss is it is completely plug-n-play and no need to enter anything.
Which means... you can plug it into a 6.0 truck and have the proper gauges, plug into a 6.4 and have the relevent gauges for that and then plug into a 6.7 truck and have the relevent gauges for that.
