Ok so yesterday something wasn't adding up right about our 2002 Ford F250 4x4 V10 so I got to bussiness reasearching even had to ask the guys in the superduty forum about this. The last and only other owner told me oh this is a 3valve engine in our 02. Not made in 02. then he tells me oh you got the e40D again not made in 02. So last thing that he tells me is that the truck has 4.10 gear ratio. So after asking the guys in the super duty forum I found out no we have 3.73 limited slip rear end. Well that sucks but I still love the truck. The guy is one heck of a truck painter but mechanically inclined he isn't. Anybody ever have somebody lie to you about a truck they don't even have or wasn't even the seller this is just wierd?

Bought a boat, prior owner said "it needs nothing". Yet 110 projects later it finally works right. Let the buyer beware.
My 04 V10 is a 2v, 310 HP with a 4R100 tranny. Love it.
Krewat I was asking if anybody else had somebody lie to you about your truck when you they aren't the seller or owner. We bought our truck from a delear the previous owner stated all this and it wasn't true. I was just curious if anybody else ran into this problem before.
Fiesta48 we have a boat that the guy told us put a battery in it it runs. we buy it bring it home and the damn thing won't even crank over. Sure runs fine runs so good it can't even start.
The previous owner wasn't the seller by the way we bought it from a dealer the PO I met one day in the parking lot of the local grocery store and he tells me all this and so far all has been wrong.
