Took the Truck to my buddy's for him to do the Pedistal O rings... got it all apart and finds.....
Just behind that broken hole is a crack that runs down the turbo housing...
then there was this to...
Hard to tell but they are BADLY worn and some of them have deep Gauges in them... got to checking the other side and they werent much better off.... so its awaiting a turbo...
Yup, i figure it may get a little better fuel millage once its fixed and it should have a good bit more power, im also wondering if that may of had something to do with it having a small bit of white smoke when first fired up....
Mine wasent really rebuildable, i think the turbo was 300, truck it came off of had 50xxx miles on it... less than a grand out the door and he had the Turbo off 3 times and new O rings and a few other little thangs.... actually got out for what a Reman turbo woulda cost me....
i had the same problem with my turbo a turbine side fin broke off and gouged all the fins i rebuilt my turbo with the spare wheel havent had a problem. i got another spare wheel from a nbs truck!
I hope not to have to mess with this anymore, truck went in orginally for leaky Pedistal O rings.... came out with new O rings and a different Turbo.... and you can tell a difference when driving around town, i can actually kinda Hear my Turbo now.... gonna be Hauling my Race truck to a big race this weekend... (3.5 hours) itll be the first real work out ive put the truck threw all the other hauls where less than a hour round trip.... not 7 round trip

It's actually more aggressive than stock OBS wheel.
