Two weeks ago I was driving down the expressway when I noticed the speedo bouncing all over the place, ABS lights on and figured that the VSS went bad again.
10 minutes and & $18 later I was back in business.
EXCEPT every once in awhile it'll screw up on me. Usually when I hit a decent bump or series of bumps in the road. Some times for no apparent reason. I'm thinking theres a short or loose connection but everything looks good and secure.
Any experiences or area's to look for potential problems??
Checking the wiring by looking at it is next to useless. Unless you have a voltmeter and the knowledge to use it you're better off taking it to a good independent shop that can check the wiring and fix what's wrong.
Yes, I have an old volt meter. No, I don't have the knowledge to use it in this application.
I wanted to check with the FTE pro's first before dropping some coin to have it looked at. This board has helped me out numerous times and saved me bunches of dollars. I wanted to see if there where any other options.
But of course, as with any intermitent problem, it won't do it when it's in the shop!! LOL!!..........
