Trans mount

I'm pretty sure the rubber bushing/insulator in between my trans and crossmember is shot. The trans is a C4 and I don't know what vehicle it came out of. How do I figure out what insulator to replace it with? I will take and post pictures tomorrow to help

C4 has 11 trans pan bolt holes. The original A/T is the FX Cruise-O-Matic, trans pan has 14 bolt holes.

What size is the engine? C4's were not factory installed with 223/292's.

The original crossmember bolted to the frame rails, when some peeps swapped in C4's, they used the bolt-to-the-frame rails rear engine support from a truck that came w/a C4.

C4: 1965/79 F100/250 240/300 I-6 / 1969/79 F100 302 / 1975/79 F150 302 / 1973/77 Bronco / Misc 1964/82 Ford/Merc Passenger Cars.

Trans ID tag was originally located on the round servo cover, left (drivers) side of the case. Most of these tags are missing today.

If the steel/rubber insulator (is it rectangular?) is genuine Ford, it will have ID engineering numbers molded into the rubber.

The motor is a 302 and the trans mount is welded in I believe. I will look for an engineering number as soon as I get a chance. Do you know where on the runner it would be?

Somewhere on the rubber, don't recall where. Most likely the engine & trans were installed as a unit. Look on the curved section of the dizzy for its stamped ID number, see if there's an ID tag on the carb, post these numbers.

I know there is no ID tag on the carb, even if there was it wouldnt be original seeing as its got a 4 bbl holley and was running a 4bbl edelbrock for a while. Ill look at the dizzy friday when Im back in Ventura. I just swapped in an MSD dizzy so the factory one is in a box at home.

Another place to look for an ID number...on the curved side section of the harmonic balancer.
