Glad you got it fixed. If you can hear idle speed up when pvs opens then it is defective. It should only apply manifold vacuum over 235 degrees. Also if you are still looking for the plastic part for your carb then check with Walker carburetor products, they have many replacement parts for all types of carburetors.
