I washed the engine bay of my truck 2 days ago. Ever since, when I start the truck, I can hear the solinoid click before it starts. It clicks, barely turns over once, then starts right up. Sometimes it takes longer than others for it to turn over. This sound like the solinoid is going?

I have a feeling it's going to be the starter. If it's clicking, and it's delaying the start, it's probably the starter or the connection on the starter. Any tips would be appriciated, thanks.

I had trouble with the small wire on the starter too.
It was corroded and causing problems starting.
The small wire can be just pulled of the starter by hand, cleaned and then pushed back on.
Good luck,
Gene
I had that problem with my 93 F150 several times. One day it left me stranded. I just recently replaced the starter from autozone and took it off and walked down to the nearest autozone and replaced it for free. After reinstalling the starter and cleaning the terminals, it's never given me another problem.
Taking the starter off is super easy. 2 bolts and she's off. Getting the selenoid off is another story.
